<P>Essential Day-to-Day Responsibilities:<BR>The position will require the successful candidate to be able to multi task across numerous projects. As such will need to prioritize and manage work load accordingly.<BR>The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for delivering key parts of the projects assigned to them.<BR> The ability to follow standards and processes (such as change and release management) is a must for this role.<BR> Ability to work with large groups/teams and individually with minimum supervision.<BR> Prioritize and mange work load accordingly to achieve the required dead lines.<BR> Ability to multitask, and work under pressure with changing priorities is essential to this role.<BR> Be self-motivated and self-reliant.<BR> The successful candidates will posses good communication skills (both written and verbal) and excellent interpersonal skills.<BR> A background in a busy operational or service delivery environment would also be advantageous.</P><P>Qualification:<BR>Education: BS degree Preferred</P><P>Required Skills:<BR> Windows 2003 Installation/Administration, MS Clustering, Active Directory Administration<BR> Solaris Installation/Administration including v10, Solaris package management, Solaris Jumpstart<BR> Excellent understanding of IP networking and Firewall technologies<BR> Produce service documentation for support to the required high standard<BR> ITIL Based release management/change process</P><P>Desired Skills:<BR> Veritas Clustering<BR> SAN configuration on Unix and Wintel OS<BR> Server PCI cards inculding Emulex HBA<BR> Tivoli suite of management products such as GMI<BR> MacAfee anti virus suite<BR> Automated patch deployment, Patching of both Unix and Wintel OS<BR> Web server technologies such as IIS/Apache<BR> Database knowledge such as MS SQL<BR> Virtualisation technologies such as VMware<BR> Windows 2008 Installation/Administration<BR> Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) certification, Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) certification, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) certification, Sun Certified System Administration</P><P>Additional Information: (eg Shift Resource, % work that is development vs. maintenance, etc.)<BR>An advantage for the successful candidate to have is experience in both Solaris and Windows operating systems.</P>df-lj More...
